Chem MERCY Orphanage Update – January

Greetings from Phnom Penh, Cambodia, the Kingdom of Wonder!

What an incredible week it has been. Excitingly, we started the new year with a significant milestone, breaking ground for the new bathroom, the day before Kip and Elena arrived.

Current conditions are deplorable.
Making Progress: The existing bathroom as been demolished and the foundation of the new bathroom– twice the size of the original – has been laid.

One of the highlights was the signing of the MOU with the Cambodia Social Welfare Mission (CSW), marking the official beginning of the next phase of our partnership.

Following the MOU, General Chhem and the CSW Board invited us for dinner.  It was a time of bonding on a personal level with General Chhem, his wife and son, Virasun, the other Board members, and Heng, the “big brother” in the orphanage.

To God be all the glory. Much Love,

Nick and Denise
