WARSAW

Kasprzaka Refugee Center

There are many needs throughout Poland and Ukraine, especially at the Refugee Centers where thousands of refugees are living. As the war drags on and cities, towns, and villages are decimated, it appears many of the Ukrainians will not be able to return in the near term. We are hearing that this situation is straining the Polish infrastructure, which is trying to stay ahead of the many needs.

Once area of impact for MERCY here in Warsaw is the budding partnership with the government-run Kasprzaka Refugee Center in Warsaw City Center, home to 300 Ukrainian refugees. Extremely understaffed, we have started by helping them address a huge need: organizing their supply room and creating a database to capture and track supply inventory.

The Mighty MERCY Warsaw Team!

We meet with the Refugee Director tomorrow to discuss future projects in the Center, including creating a “Kid’s Korner” play area for the many children that are staying there.

LVIV

MERCY Refugee Center

This week the MERCY Refugee Center in Lviv will house 15 people – children with cancer and their doctors – as they transit to another country for treatment.

MEXICO

Children’s Day – On April 30th, over 100 children from MERCY Mexico’s community partner, La Comuna, attended MERCY’s Children’s Day celebration.

The 10 Principles of Children’s Rights were the focus of Children’s Day

The Campus MERCY Ambassadors taught these principles to the children through interactive games.

The campus ministry was fired up to serve the children in their community, truly demonstrating Compassion in Action

THE 13th ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL DAY OF MERCY

Only seven weeks away from the 13th Annual International Day of MERCY. This year’s event will push MERCY over 1,000 projects since its inception in 2008.

MERCY’S 3rd ANNUAL NATIONAL BLOOD DRIVE

Plans are currently in the works behind the scenes with the Red Cross and the MERCY leaders in each of our Churches across the US. We are committed to make this year’s Blood Drive the most impactful yet.

MERCY REGISTRATIONS

MERCY Philippines is now official and registration for MERCY Warsaw is progressing.
