A summary of this week’s activities:

  1. MERCY Lviv Leadership Meeting
  2. Bomb Shelter in Lviv
  3. 3rd Annual Blood Drive
  4. 13th Annual International Day of MERCY

The MERCY Lviv, Ukraine Leadership Team (Oleg, Bogdan, Igor, and me) met this week to formalize the plans for the four MERCY projects in Lviv. We finalized the leaders who will spearhead each project:

  1. MERCY Advocacy Network – Max
  2. Bomb Shelter Construction – Igor
  3. Packaging Supplies for Refugees in Conflict Zones – Karill
  4. MERCY Refugee Center – Bogdan

Igor and the MERCY Ambassadors cleared the debris from the basement, installed lighting, and have begun adding tables and chairs to create a comfortable environment for the community residents when the sirens sound.

The MERCY Shelter is clearly marked for the pedestrians should they be in the vicinity when the sirens sound.

MERCY Ambassadors loaded another shipment of supplies headed to the residents in the conflict zones in eastern Ukraine. They added the MERCY letter of hope and encouragement and placed MERCY stickers on each of the boxes.

We have engaged the Red Cross – well in advance – to get a head start on the Blood Drives across the US. A big thank you to Earl Jones, who has been proactively engaging the Red Cross executive team in DC.

We held our third Global MERCY call with MERCY leads from both the Eastern and Western Hemispheres to prepare for the 13th Annual International Day of MERCY. We continue to focus on advanced planning. This month’s meeting addressed completing the project plan including partnerships and ordering T-Shirts and developing a public relations plan within your respective communities to spread the news.

Thank you all for your ongoing support. Pray for us as we are praying for you.

Much love,

Nick and Denise 💚
